You do realize California has the largest GDP of any state. Also, just think about California in terms of trading. The ports of LA and Long Beach combine to make the 9th largest port in the world, each being 1st and 2nd respectively largest in the US. Where would all the Asian imports come through? Seattle? Yeah that won't happen. The U.S. needs California more than it realizes, especially for the amount of taxes contributed to the federal government to help the poor red southern states.
I should hope so, it has the largest population of any state.
