I am a sucker for a man with a Texas accent.

My husband's Texan voice makes me melt!

I'm from L.A., but can't stand the accent lots of (white) women (mostly from West LA and the Valley) have around here. Even worse when men have this accent, which seems to be more and more of an occurrence.

As to which ones I think are sexy

For both men and women:
Texan, and the Louisiana accent (like True Blood, LOL - also Gambit from the Xmen...his accent is hot.)

For women:
Southern Belle/Southern (even better if she is rough around the edges...like Rogue from the Xmen - sorry, comic nerd here)
The 'Latin' accent I heard on Latinas in Miami.
The general accent of educated Asian American women in Southern California.

For men:
a subtle (educated) East LA accent (hard to describe unless you're from LA)
the working class New York/NJ accent

I'm also attracted to the stoner California accent. I'm not sure why (perhaps because it balances my always on the go mentality), but it works for me

Breathy Texan ala Farrah Fawcett. I wish I could find a girlfriend that talks like her. I don know if it is the same as Southern Belle?

It's more about the voice itself to me, but if I had to stick with US, I think I'd go with the Chicago area - primarily because they just have no accent - to me anyway.

I DON'T like southern (I'm from the south, so yeah, I've heard all of them there), strong NY/RI or the upper midwestern nasal thing.

Standard American is sexiest. I prefer people to actually pronounce letters.

The accents on True Blood are completely phony. Not authentic at all.
