It seems like California is the "template" for how America is becoming - more capitalist, more socially liberal, more Hispanic/less white, the legalization and acceptance of marijuana, the California Vowel Shift that young people everywhere speak with. Even the Internet started in California. It seems like the rest of America and even the rest of the world is essentially be turned into California due to the globalization of occidental values.

You don't notice how Millennials everywhere seem like they're from California?

As a Millennial not from California, I don't really see it either. I've also only met a handful of people out here who uptalk who weren't from California.

I'm starting to see a pattern of outlandish threads pertaining to the West Coast here with the OP. Haven't you left there yet?

They only do that in the movies and in SNL comedy skits. Nobody actually talks like that in California. And if they do, then they are most likely mentally challenged.

Cultures are blending all over the planet and California plays a huge roll in it due to having one of the most powerful music and movie industries in the world, there is no denying it. people in California are also picking up cultural aspects from other parts of the world. Globalization is an amazing thing
