Ladies and gentlemen, lets see how well you are at identifying states. I have posted 10 photos from 10 different states (all photos were taken from C-D), try and figure out what state is represented. Take your best guess, and Ill do my best to stay on top of your responses, and will "grade" each response individually. Good luck!
You may beginnnnnn... now.
*photos shall be numbered as 1 through 10, left to right, top to bottom. example: first photo top left is #1, last photo in that row is #5. Bottom row left is #6, last photo in bottom row is #10*
Hard since in many of the photos there's not much to go on. Photo number one could be a lot of states, and the trees aren't in focus enough to use them as a hint. Quite a few are too blurry for much investigative use. #2 you'd pretty much need to know the specific species of cactus (alas, not my specialty). But for the sake of semi-random guessing:
1) Ohio
2) Texas
3) New Mexico
4) Nebraska
5) I would have guessed Saskatchewan, but since that's not on the menu I'll go with SW Minnesota
6) Foliage suggests east, probably northeast. View of NY from VT side of Champlain?
7) I think this one's the most interesting, since there's enough here (elevation, beach & access, inlet) you could probably suss it out with some digging. California?
8) Any number of states, but central-west New York for the sake of argument.
9) Wyoming
10) Oregon
1. Oklahoma, I'm guessing b/c of red dirt.
2. New Mexico, small cactus but still some green
3. Wyoming, looks awesome so I want to go regardless of location
4. Montana, small buttes
5. South Dakota
6. Michigan, Upper Section
7. California,
8. Virginia, ?????
9. Nevada, Ruby Mountains or Great Basin National Park
10. Oregon, Eastern near the Dalles
