'carmal' Is that abnormal for a New Englander? My dad is from Michigan so I may have picked up on it from him, just as I did with 'ain't'

Do you at least say "PEE-can" for pecan?

Used to pronounce it with two syllables, but now I use three syllables thanks to recent Sonic and Twix commercials.

I said "carmel" as a kid. I say "car-a-mel" now.

Default lol

I have never once in my life heard anyone except on TV say CARE-uh-mel. That's just wrong. Is it a CARE-uh-MEL apple? No, no it is not. It never has been. It's a CAR-Muhl apple and I enjoy eating car-muhl in my Twix bars. There are no NEW-gats and CARE-UH-MEL in a Twix, there is CAR-muhl and nuggets.

CAR-uh-mul.

It's Puh-CAHN for well-bred Southerners. PEE-can is standard pronunciation for the trailer park crowd.

CarMall like CarMall candy. However, candy apples think I say it as Care A Mel Apple.
