New Hampshire + Vermont ----- I doubt 75% of the US population could tell which is which on a map.

Mississippi, Alabama, Georigia ----- See comment above.

Colorado, Montana, Utah and Wyoming

Arizona and New Mexico

Tennessee and Kentucky have some similarities but they are very different states, the economy for one is way better in TN than KY.

Maryland=Delaware, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.

Virginia=North Carolina and maybe Kentucky.

Maine=Vermont and New Hampshire.

West Virginia=Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and maybe Maryland.

New York=Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Ohio.

Hawaii=Puerto Rico.

Georgia=South Carolina.

Illinois=Indiana and maybe Iowa.

Michigan=Wisconsin.

I guess I don't see how Nevada and California are interchangable.
Nevada is more similar to AZ or UT.

Agreed. I don't think CA is anything like NV or AZ. I think NY and NJ are the most similar thou because they share the same NY metro and a lot of people move back and forth from those two states.
