There's another 'Southern Accent' thread going on right now but that's more specific and I thought that this would be interesting. Also, it can be informative. I'm from the Southeast (a coastal Southern state) and you can hear some interesting accents here.

I'm not from South Carolina but I wanted to shine light on the Gullah/Geeche dialect....

New Orleans isn't dying but it isn't what comes to mind when people think of Southern accent (Cajun too).

Yeah man, I thought about posting some Savannah ones but they sound kinda similar to Charleston and N.O.

Anyway, kind of a thread fail because I can't think of anymore really distinctive ones that people forget about.
