For tax purposes, about a decade ago, my dad considered moving there. When he announced that, I realized I new almost zilch about that state.

Some comic book geeks think Superman's Metropolis is located in Delaware.

The thing about Delaware is while people might know a few facts about the state, there is no popular perception of it at all. People don't know what the accent is like, don't know what the housing style is, don't know any of the local foods. And honestly, there's good reason, since the northern third of the state is basically the same as suburban Philadelphia, and the rest is very mild Upper South (similar to the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

FWIW, although Joe Biden represented Delaware in the Senate, he's from Scranton, so he doesn't give an accurate impression of what people from Delaware are like at all.
