What do you think is the most beautiful place in the U.S.?
I'll start this off with what was voted the most beautiful place in America on Good Morning America, Sleeping Bear Dunes.

Do you mean nature settings? Or populated settings? Comparing the two is like apples and oranges.

I love to play around on google maps and search for beautiful places. This is one of my favorites I've found there. If the link works correctly, it should take you to the top of Mount Defiance in the Cascades of Washington. It seems so remote and yet it is only just over 40 miles from downtown Seattle.

Out of where I've been? I'd say Lake Mead was quite a pretty site (from my air-conditioned tour-bus!).

One of my favorites is Lake Pend Oreille, just south of Sandpoint, ID.

For my money, just about anywhere in the non-desert parts of the NW are pretty much heaven to me.
