Imagine someone only had the opportunity to visit America ONCE and were only able to go to ONE city. However, they want to experience Americana 'to the max'. Which city would you suggest typifies the United States the best?

There is. To an extent. E.g. Phoenix is atypical whereas Columbus Ohio is more American (imo)

Well statistically speaking, most americans live in urban areas, and the NE corridor is the most urban area of the country, so that would get my vote for typical.

It would depend on where you're coming from. If it was, say, Bermuda, then Florida might not be a big thrill, but Colorado would. If you were from Switzerland, Colorado might not be a thrill. If from Tokyo, New York City might not...etc.
