The only anti-CA stuff I ever picked up on here in WA was in Seattle. I now live in Eastern WA and nobody here hates CA. In Seattle, it's just a reaction to all the CA transplants who have moved there in recent times. I think this happens in any major metro that gets a sudden, large influx of transplants. Outside of Seattle, there really isn't much hate for CA.

I think Texas and New Mexico dislike each other.

I think Nebraska and Colorado have some aspects of a rivalry based on all the hard core Nebraska fans who have moved to Colorado.
Never even heard this mentioned during my many years in CO.

West Virginia wants to blend with Virginia so badly but we (Virginia) wants no parts of that.

Why not? You're cut from the same cloth, most of the natives of both states are probably related in one way or another.

We all have relatives we rather not acknowledge as we’ve progressed past them a long time ago.

There are a fair number of former NE residents in CO, but not much rivalry that I've seen. I've seen a bigger rivalry regarding NU and OU than anything in CO. CO vs CA vs TX is common. The CO/TX thing goes back many decades. The CA thing only goes back to the '90s. WY and KS are not particularly hip to us since legalization and KS has repeatedly sued CO over water.
