Ohio doesn't give Indiana a second thought. Even less for West Virginia. And the only people that even remember Kentucky borders Ohio are in Cincinnati.
CA doesn't hate anybody. CA is naive in its thinking, that everywhere else is just like CA to a certain extent. But overall, CA doesn't think about other states, and doesn't even know much about them.
CO hates everybody. Everybody is coming here and ruining everything for the precious natives who would like to time warp back to 1980. Particular hate is placed on CA and TX of course.

They would like to go back in time, but they sure don't mind the equity they have in their homes now.

WA used to hate CA, but western WA is CA now, so it really doesn't hate it anymore. It thinks of OR as its less cultured (but still same culture) little brother. Eastern WA has an interesting dynamic with Idaho. Eastern WA is pretty fond of ID actually. But Idaho couldn't give two cares that the "liberal hellhole" of WA is over there (keep in mind, this is a moderately conservative part of WA that ID is next to), and they see no use for it beyond Spokane's airport.
Plus NY, NJ and MA.
But even so, Colorado reporters don't go around making up these stupid lists about why it's better than a particular neighboring state, like MN reporters do. And the Colorado History Center sure doesn't make fun of other states like the MN Historical Society does.

If you want to see states that hate everybody look at WY and MT. Everyone moving in is a damn liberal out to ruin their "way of life." They want to time warp back to 1880. At least Colorado wants to go to 1980.
The MT and WY view of CA is the same as the way CA views the other West Coast states. It's all CA. The rest of the country is "back east" or not WY and MT.

Nah, most of the complaining type aren't the kind who own homes.
The transplants from out of state have bid up the real estate/rentals to a point that the natives cannot afford (in their minds). So now, we are FORCING them out of their "home" state or area, and we should all go back to where we came from to better accommodate them, because they apparently own this place because they were here first (even though, somewhere along the line somebody failed to purchase real estate).
If you ever want hours of free entertainment, follow the Denver news stations/newspapers on social media. Any time there's an article about Denver/CO's growth or increased cost of living, these folks come out in full force. They have suggestions like:
-Building a wall around Colorado
-Not allowing "out of staters" to purchase real estate
-Putting caps on the amount of rent that landlords can charge natives
-Setting aside affordable real estate for natives
-Declaring Colorado "FULL"
Or just general threats and complaints about transplants causing more traffic, making the state more liberal, trashing the trails (), etc.
Lame as it is....I sure enjoy MY increased equity. At any time, I can go RUIN another state. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I've never seen this as it pertains to eastern states. I have friends from all of those, and my general take is that people from CO know very little about those states.
The thing that gets me is the propaganda that the local news media puts out about how WONDERFUL Colorado is, like it's the most unique place, and DEFINITELY the only place with mountains, or the setting and rising sun. 9NEWS, I'm looking at you.

I'm from an eastern state (Pennsylvania) and believe me, I've seen it. It was common back in the early 80s. That may have been before the big CA migration.
Exactly. And it wasn't a cold war either. Missouri and Kansas fought the Civil War nearly 5 years before anyone in the South or the North got off their lazy butts and did anything. It was "Bleeding Kansas," and there were thousands of people killed before a single shot was fired at Fort Sumter.
A lot of people in Maryland particularly in the DC suburbs and among Baltimore's yuppies truly dislike and mock West Virginia.
When I lived in West Virginia people viewed Maryland more favorably than any of WV's other neighbors. WV does hate Ohio State and Ohio drivers but everyone Maryland its mentioned its as an overpriced, socialist state or its about the crime and drugs in Baltimore.
Here in Louisiana the enlightened elites in New Orleans look down on all our neighbors particularly Mississippi, but in the rest of Louisiana we love all our neighbors. The states people here hate on are all outside the South like New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and California

This is also Montana and Wyoming. What's funny is how often Wyomingites ***** and moan about greenies and tree huggers from Colorado moving up and ruining their way of life. It's a pastime there. I'm starting to think most of the West sucks. Lots of whiny people.
