Well, we had snow flurries and little ice pellets yesterday but while all that sky drama was going on, it was about 38 degrees so thankfully we had no accumulations. Today is cloudy but thankfully the wind has calmed down and with highs around 40 - well, I can live with that. Tomorrow will be rainy and cold but above freezing.

Most of next week is supposed to be cold (highs in the 40s, lows around 30 - that's cold enough for me!) and cloudy - typical January weather. Personally, I love it because the cold days of winter are limited around here to just a couple of months. By February, we'll be working in the garden again and pulling our lawn chairs back out into the sun to sit there and soak it in, even though it will still be chilly. So I love the dark, wet, cold days of January when we can build a fire and snug up with a cup of hot tea and a good book!

I really like four seasons but I want my winters short and my summers long!

It warmed up yesterday to 35 or so, and today the high is 21 - so back to cold again. Apparently we may get snow and/or freezing rain early this week, and a potentially larger snowstorm Thursday but they of course know nothing at the moment, really about either.

Where are you? Also, curious to know what Chava61 means, if anything?
