Crime ridden parts of the south side, Decatur, or East St. Louis. Although I don't really think many in Chicago consider the Illinois suburbs of St. Louis "Illinois". Illinois ends once you're south of I 80 . Maybe south of Cermak if you're insanely pretentious.
I'm from Terre Haute, Indiana (which is an old declining factory town in it's own right) and I had always heard from several people from Terre Haute that Decatur IL was horrible. Then when I lived in Champaign for a while, people told me "it's not that bad." But man, everyone picks on Danville IL with a passion.
Me in Evansville: I'm still in Indiana, right? It feels like I'm in Kentucky.
Off topic a bit, but I'm curious. I've met quite a few people visiting Louisville from Evansville. I know quite a few native Kentuckians who know someone living in Evansville or have some sorta connection. People from Evansville tend to fit in really well in Louisville. So would you say Evansville actually is more connected with Louisville in your opinion?
Assuming he's talking about Gary, IN, why ask why? Seems pretty obvious on its face.
No. It's not obvious lol. Please explain.
