If you grew up in the area and know people makes sesnse. Moving there, less so. Might be better off in more of a "young person's neighborhood.

As I said, just find a suburb that caters more to singles and young people. There are plenty of them in most metros. Not all single young people want to live in the city.

Well, when i moved into my house very recently in a family oriented neighborhood, i was looked at in a weird way. But it eventually went away (I think!!). I don't bother them, they don't bother me.

Especially me not being one of the white/black, got weird looks when going out of the house for office/shopping, like why did this guy get a house here!! After a month it has gone down a bit. But who knows, they probably still talk!

Someday i am gonna call all of my friends and have a loud party till 5AM and really get under their skin!

Suburbs are noisy and busy and full of vehicles; you can see your neighbors. Peace and quiet is living in the country. Suburbs have the same noise and congestion levels as small towns and cities.

you will not be the only young, single guy in the suburbs anyway.

I know many young, single people with a house or condo in the suburbs. It's more common than you think. My younger brother bought a house in a suburb at the age of 25 and absolutely loves it. It's not one of those family oriented neighborhoods with children running around, but it's a decent older home in a neighborhood with smaller houses that tend to attract singles more.
