Greetings all,

Where can an upper middle class african american male who recently graduated college live in the US free of prejudice, racism, ostricism, police stereotyping, police brutality, and a negative vibes that scream, "you do not belong"?

Orange County is definitely not it.
Culver City seems to be a good fit, but I do not know about the police stereotyping business.
Hollywood?
Outside of socal?

Are there any all black, or all minority neighborhoods in the US that the cops do not micro police or instigate crimes when there is no crime going on.

List them please.

San Fran screamed "you do not belong" when I visited. Its the vibe you get from (white) people when shopping in stores and walking around.

I can only think of Toronto, Canada... That was a place where my skin color was not introduced to me.

Orlando Florida. The place is called "Disneyland." Your going to run into what you want to avoid no matter wher you go, or what color you are.

You ask if there is any all "Black" or minority Neighborhoods with no crime? At least you have a sense of humor.

Sounds like most of your problem is with Police. Don't put yourself in a position where you have to deal with them. Stay out of bad neighborhoods and stay away from bad people, and you won't be profiled, white, black, red or purple.

Completely free of all that? That's ambitious to say the least, unfortunately you're likely to face some degree of that all over the US, and not just the US either.

You posted this in the LA forum and you say you're upper middle class, what about somewhere like Baldwin Hills, Leimert Park, that area?

West Hollywood is a pretty liberal, accepting area, but LAPD is LAPD. I'm not sure there's anywhere in America where you could feel secure all the time, whether you're black or not.

You can get profiled just for driving a car, and it's in white suburbia where you'll stick out the most. At least in a black neighborhood especially a bad one there'll be more suspicious looking people for cops to harass.

A lot of people do that here as well. Just this evening I chastised a group of upper-class blonde headed White people for saying that to somebody as they drove by him in their BMW cabriolet. I even got their license plate number and plan to give it to the LAPD.
