And before you get angry and offended, this is a honest question!
In my country police shoots a gun ~10 times per year and between 2000-2014 only 2 people has been shot dead. A gun gets used 40 times per year(pulling out your gun is "using")
Most of the times if you for some reason end up to police car they don't even hand cuff you... Only if you tried to fight them.
Finnish law doesn't recognize "justifiable homicide" or "using lethal force".
Here's one example of a violent customer who gets handled without guns:
So my question is, why are they so violent? Police in other countries is able to handle even dangerous situations without murdering anyone... And do you feel safe when dealing with police?
Example from the UK, he would have been killed in America for sure:
Because there's no accountability. Police are always given the benefit of the doubt because people view them as heroes. They're considered above the law in some ways.

The simple answer is that they do it because they can. They are given an enormous amount of power, access to weapons, and virtual immunity in regards to using those weapons.
A couple of decades ago, Psychology Today magazine published a study which showed that the very people drawn to law enforcement as a career, are often people who possess personality traits which make them ill-adapted to responsibly deal with the amount of power they are given.
Many of these individuals revel in the opportunity to be in control of other people. When these cops are given lethal weapons and the broad ability to use them with near-impunity, the kinds of atrocities we see occurring with increasing frequency, are inevitable.
We need much tighter psychological screening of police candidates, accountability to civilian review boards, and criminal prosecution of those deemed to have abused their authority.
I agree that its the media that adds fuel to the fire. They constantly covered the Ferguson case, the Trayvon Martin case, and many more. It's gotten to a point where a majority of the population hates the police because they think there all violent. That's the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard. Notice how the media only brings up cases if they bring up the race card. This is why i despise the news. They have gone too far but unfortunately that's what the majority of Americans want to hear. Im done with the media ONLY using terms such as black, white, unarmed, and kid? Dont use the words that the media is telling you to use. Stop using the term "Black unarmed teen killed by white cop". There is no difference between black and white. We are all the same. If the media never existed then these topics wouldn't nearly come up as often as now. Ever since the media reported these events, the society started unnecessary violent protests and it ended up destroying businesses and hurting more lives. I dont mind protests at all. We have the right too but is burning down businesses and looting stores going to solve anything. No!
Plus Finland doesnt nearly have as many guns as the United States. We have a constitution right to bear arms and every individual should have the right to own a gun. If you are holding a hostage in a house sometimes the police have to use lethal force or the suspect could harm the hostage or even themself. Its gotten to a point where some police departments are using body cameras.
There are millions and millions of interactions between the police and the people every single day. The ten most violent interactions in the last year are shown over and over by your media.
But is the alternative any better? That is, a neutered police force?
The Department of Justice has virtually neutered the Seattle Police Department for abuses in their use of force. The result? A police force that is virtually powerless and turns a blind eye to all forms of crime. Now, Seattle has criminals openly dealing drugs in the streets, and criminals feel very confident that Seattle PD won't do anything about it. Open shootings are becoming more frequent and go unpunished. Seattle, by and large, has become partially lawless due to the DoJ neutering SPD.
As much as it might offend notions of fairness, I think that we really shouldn't discourage police officers from doing their job.
The police? What about the American people? We are pretty violent folks and thats not the fault of the police.
