Live in New York (Western NY) and have never been to NYC (airport doesn't count) or Albany. Most people are surprised when I tell them I've never been to NYC after living in the state for over 10 years now. Honestly I don't really have any desire to visit. Not a fan of crowds.
I'm in Louisiana and I've never been north of Alexandria-Pineville. So Shreveport and Monroe are the major cities I've yet to visit though I don't think they're particularly touristy, though Duck Dynasty was filmed in Monroe which is pretty cool!
Shreveport is known for having casinos, but Baton Rouge has casinos too as does Lake Charles. I think Lake Charles in fact has a larger gambling scene than Shreveport.
