Interstate 57 between Interstate 55 and Urbana, IL....it feels like it will never end. I-76 from Denver to the Colorado-Nebraska border is pretty bad too.

I-90 between Chicago and Cleveland is pretty mind numbing. Indiana is one of the worst states to drive through too because of the speed traps, and the crappy toll stations.

Crappy toll stations? Does it matter with EZ-Pass?

Way too many western states and far to few places in the midwest/great lakes. Nothing is more boring than Indiana, Iowa, and downstate Illinois. Nothing.

I'll go with the I-70 Topeka-Aurora; but I-80 Lincoln-Cheyenne isn't much of an improvement.

I agree with those that have said there are too many western states. They may be vast and empty, but it is sort of interesting in its isolation and vastness.

Even places like the Dakotas and Nebraska have some interesting features--bad lands, sand hills, impressive river valleys, etc.

But Illinois, Indiana, an Iowa are the most boring states to drive through. Pensacola to Jacksonville on I-10 is probably the most boring for me, though. Literally nothing but coastal pine trees in a 250-300 mile stretch.

It has to be somewhere east of Mississippi River. All you see is trees along the highways, and nothing much else. It is just the same looking trees over and over again.

When I was out in Kern County CA, I loved driving around the desert because you can see for miles. You can see where you are actually headed.

I went to college in middle of Pennsyltucky, and I would fall asleep driving on I-80, and had to keep pulling over to take a quick nap. All you saw was the darn similar looking trees. Or when there was snow, you just saw the same damn snow. You cannot see far at all. Just maybe 50 yards in front and the image is the same.

Oh yeah that crap sucks. Just the same damn tree over and over again. The curves dont make it any better. Its the same curves over and over again. The curves actually just make the drive longer than it should be.

I dont know why it curves so much. Why cant it just be straight? Highway in Texas and California are pretty straight.
