Not sure how these hipsters differ from any of the kids I see running around. The pictures look a lot like any millenial. Don’t like them?? Look at places more suburban or rural. Look at places with an over 40 demographic. Not hard to avoid youth culture. I live in rural Tennessee....never see hipsters unless I go into Knoxville or Chattanooga. Even there you won’t find that many outside of the campus area. Not everywhere is like Portland or Seattle.
Boy do I wish. All the annoying hippies took over Brooklyn. They are starting to take over Bay Ridge/Bensonhurst areas, which were known as old school areas with GREAT Italian food (still have great spots), but unfortunately these wanna-be NY'ers from middle-of-nowhere come flocking to the city. Ugh. Sorry

You realize hipsters exist within every generation? The Brooklyn transplants of then priced out the before them.

The Italian-Americans have been leaving Bensonhurst on their own accord, they were not pushed out by hipsters.
And Bensonhurst/Bay Ridge are not hipster hot spots, the Italians have been leaving and people from China, Eastern Europe, and Mexico have been replacing them.

There have been hipsters in NYC since at least the 50s.
My cousin lived in Brooklyn his whole life and he's a hardcore hipster, he dresses like a hobo from 1923. I'm not sure why so many people think all the hipsters are transplants from Ohio and Minnesota.
Camden and Chester are not big cities, Detroit and Memphis definitely have hipsters
