Maryland and Delaware are part of the BOSWASH corridor. There wouldn't be anything culturally Southern about them in this day and age.

Peninsular Florida is probably a yes.

Oh boy! Once again I will ask, how can the most southern state not be southern? FL is about as pure south as it gets, both geographically and culturally. For those who think not, they truly ought to get off the interstate, beach and out of the theme parks once in a while. They don't even need to go very far.

Like I've said plenty of times. I know many of my friends and family born and raised in Orange, Broward, and Dade Counties would be shocked to find out that they are no longer Southern.
