Not if you visit New Mexico (77.1%). Most people here still use CRT TVs as well.

This list has to be a joke. Philly has a more active tech scene than New York or Chicago yet it's ranked lower. Plus, Comcast is HQ-ed here.

Eh it's only a surprise if you're a homer that wants your city to win at everything. This list is based off of civic boundaries and nothing else. Hence why upscale suburbs and college towns dominate the top. Major cities like Philly still have boat loads of poor people who either cant afford internet, or live in a culture where it's not a priority. Unless I missed the memo where Philly being the home of Comcast meant that all of its residents got free internet.
