Now that millions of people are utilizing Google Earth or Microsoft Virtual Earth to get a birds'-eye view of the world (or just to spy on their neighbors' backyards), I thought it would be a great time to post some "oddities" from your area, if you know of any. With how tense a lot of the threads on here can be from time to time, I figured this would be a great tension breaker.

I'll start off by posting a couple from here in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area of Northeastern Pennsylvania:

Here you can see the spiffy football field for Hazleton Area, home of the Cougars. This Microsoft image was snapped much more recently and shows the new sod that was put down after...

...the results of a teenaged prank. The satellites for Google Earth snapped this older image for all to see. Some clever kids decided to use some sort of grass killer to form a phallic object into the grass in the middle of the field. Google plans to update its Eastern PA at some point in 2008, but until that time you can still see that largest phallic object in PA!

I knew about that first "prank" from a newspaper article in our area, but I stumbled upon this farmer's art work merely by accident as I zoomed around "The Abingtons," a growing suburban area to the northwest of Scranton, PA. Here you can clearly see "Giants vs. Eagles" with two helmets. Very nice!

Show off your area's pranks, oddities, blemishes, etc. now!
