I agree with Nasheville. Possibly Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill. Raleigh doesn't have the hipster vibe but Durham and Carrboro do. Unfortunately the area is so spread out that I think that prevents it from being viewed as a hip city in some ways.

Austin is booming because of the Tech industry so cross off any cities that won't be seeing an explosion in their Tech industry.
