Oversaturation of guns, lazy/entitled population who aren't taught a proper work ethic as children, and history of political turmoil which has left many impoverished and isolated from mainstream society.

I can guarantee you those reasons aren't why. The United States is a country of 320 million people with a huge variety of cultures, subcultures, ethnicities, and several cities that make Toronto look like rest stop in size. Ethnically/racially homogenous countries are generally shown to be much safer than those that aren't. Regardless, as it is, the United States really isn't unsafe.

Maybe it's the lack of healthcare that makes people stress out and go crazy down there? I have an OHIP card and can go to the doctor anytime I want free of charge. I went about ten different times to the ER and doctor last month for both food poisoning and tachycardia. Cost: nothing.

Are you being serious right now?

Yep. It's that awesome. Free healthcare is sweet! And our taxes these days (at least in ontario) is much lower than the states. Our quality of life is higher (most of us are upper middle class) and we live longer. We're also much more educated and progressive than Americans. 99/% of us graduate from high school and attain a university degree.

Is this a serious theory?

You're right...was looking at city size #s.

Well if you need 100000 to pay for chemo I would imagine that may lead someone to rob a bank in desperation.

I don't believe that 99% of Canadians have a university degree. That just has to be bogus. And frankly, all of your "facts" have nothing to do with this post.

I can make up statistics too. 99% of criminals in the US are not stealing to pay for their cancer treatment.

I'll bet my made-up number is closer to the truth than yours.
