I've lived in California all my life, and to me, the weather's a snoozer. Yes, it's nice to never have to scrape windshields, or slip on ice, or pay for high heating bills, or stay inside, or wear heavy coats. But I feel like Californians are at a disadvantage, should we want to move most anywhere else in the U.S. because we're wimps. Weather always has to be a huge factor because we aren't used to extremes. I'm not being sarcastic here, I really am jealous of you guys from places like Wisconsin, Minnesota, etc. For once I'd like to walk outside on Christmas day and NOT see someone sitting on their lawn in shorts. Wtf!?

Anyway, I love rain, so my answer is Oregon or Washington. Maybe North Carolina, too?

I like how so many over-generalize CA merely to disparage its weather's as being too mild, all while HI, the textbook example of temperature stability, is completely running away with the poll.

They're probably not the ones voting for it.

They're are more votes for other states besides HI than the number of posters complaining about CA weather.

SO...have you spent a summer in Cleveland yet? Pretty sure you get a few months in there with temps well above 70...

Sure but you also get a nice true winter, which that poster stated they prefer to any warm weather at all.

Ironic thing is that if you truly wanted the fewest days with temps above 70 CA is probably one of the best places for that too, along with coastal OR and WA.

Do't Los Angeles and San Diego get hot in the summer?

It was an observation, not an equation. If you were to consider the professed love of four seasons on this and many other threads, you'd think most people were running from mild climates like the plague. How many votes have been cast for states known for cold or extreme weather, or even those renown for their "four seasons"?
