My family needs to make a fresh start in a new place. I am a lawyer. My husband is in finance/auto industry. I want to find a family friendly city West of the MS River + Texas. Requirements: conducive to our industries, a few high quality public schools, low cost of living especially property/income taxes, good restaurants, variety of activities/cultural events/festivals within an hour's drive, and is fairly safe overall. I prefer no regular snow. The occasional flake is OK. We are considering Orlando, New Orleans (despite crime), Charleston, and Raleigh. I would love other suggestions with explanations. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I do not want to mess it up. Thanks for your help. Best regards.
