You are more than obviously wrong, and can't deal with the reality that happens to be the opposite of your personal opinion. Which is totally fine. We are all entitled to our opinions.
What we aren't entitled to are opinions that are based on stereotypes and fallacies. Opinions are fine, but not when they don't make sense.

Deep South, Upper South, Coastal South, Interior South, Texas, Florida, NOVA - all southern and none "more" southern than the other...just different southern.

It seems like some people think that the more country, rural, slow, backward, etc. a place is the more southern it is. Not true. And fried chicken? My mom's fried chicken in NC is the best, and it isn't all that far south. Location doesn't make food any better or more authentic.

Tell it, Joe!

As much as so many uninformed, opinionated people try - you simply can't compartmentalize the South.

Just like EVERY other region of the U.S., it isn't possible.

How can an opinion be proven wrong?? Some of you guys really misrepresent your city with these unnecessarily defensive and combative posts in every thread that features Atlanta. Its extremely petty.

...I can see why he or anyone else would choose to "duck out", as you put it.

You are petty because you are so biased against Atlanta poster even when they are right,You are hardly the moral authority here.
You NEVER chime in when others than Atlantans are proven wrong or rude. How PHONY
You represent yourself poorly by being so blatantly one sided

That's your opinion and I would have to disagree.

Again, it is a matter of opinion that cannot be proven right or wrong. It is my belief that Deep South cooking is generally better than what can be found north. All you can do with that statement is disagree.

I wasn't saying that those were the best examples of southern food in Atlanta. I'm saying they are in the overrated crowd. I'm well aware that good southern food exists in Atlanta, just not on the level of other places. Busy B's is decent but not great. Never been to the other two.

I have never had friend chicken any better or worse than Atlanta but I dont think its the best around.Im suree some place like Jackson MS has more per capita.

I do get that a smaller city might have it more readily but I believe it still exist in Atlanta alhough more spread out.

Trust me South City Kitchen is GREAT!!Its a little pricey but worth every drop.I had gone there for other things but upon many visits finally tried the Fried Chicken and it was SOO GOOD
