Everyone talks about Denver, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle. What are other cities that maybe hidden treasures or not talked about as much? Good economy, mild climate (not too cold/hot), reasonable COL, not too much crime, lots to do, friendly, etc. (the next best city)
I'm not sure there are too many good cities in the U.S. that are considered "hidden" treasures anymore, but I think there are some diamonds in the rough.
Is Raleigh a hidden treasure any more? Kar54's list seems to some very good choices. Perhaps Richmond VA, Louisville KY and Huntsville AL are some others.
Columbus. Would bet it is the biggest overlooked metro in the US. Most people don't even know which Columbus you are talking about despite having 2 million people.
