Same thing they do when the cold weather becomes unbearable.

Ask me and my boyfriend for a sip of our drinks like one did today? I think today it was 100 in Charlotte and man i swear on every other block there was a homeless person asking money for a drink or wanting some of ours.

Here.. they go to the library during the day when its hot and pretend to be reading books in the back corner comfy chairs, or restaurants, McDonald's, gas stations, indoor places like bowling alley and such. Community centers. Public pools. Mostly the library.

In Charlotte, NC they panhandle and go in/out....in/out of the Food Lion grocery store til they are more than drunk and someone calls EMS to 'take them away'...to a nice, COOOL ER stretcher in a hallway...with a meal or three by the time they leave, and a half-million dollar medical 'work-up' that WE pay for! When they get 'released' they go right back to the same homeless camp and start it all over again...all summer. They do the same exact thing all winter, spring and fall.

OOPS! too late to add edit, but the homeless going in and out of FL are buying one 40oz beer at a time not just cooling off. They have a 'camp' known by the local PD, but they must leave during the day and they come into the neighborhood to the FL. I stopped shopping there because of them always lurking and hitting me up for a 'few dollars' when I went to shop. I also worked at several of the ERs and the County Jail where I know some of them as regulars. Sad, but true.

To a homeless shelter, of course. Where else would they go?

^ Right, not sure what the point of that was. Then again, isn't that what they do in Orlando or Phoenix during hot weather as well?
