Looking to move from Wisconsin to a nice mountain town with good weather. I don't mind 4 seasons but I really don't like the 8 months of grey skies in Milwaukee. So that's a huge reason why I'm moving. I enjoy nature. Just being around nice parks or trees and a river is fine with me. I'm not huge into mountain biking or anything, just want close proximity to nature.

When I move I will plan to go to massage school. I have a bachelor's. I will need to find a job while I go to school. I currently do graphic design. So I'm looking for a place that I can find employment while going to school. My boyfriend is a well versed landscaper and we both currently work at an urban farm.

We are in our early 30s. Laid back. We are neither liberal and conservative. We would like to live somewhere that is open minded, lgbt friendly and diversity friendly as I am part latino and bi. We aren't rich, but looking for a affordable, sunny friendly smaller city or town with opportunities to call our home.

Thanks!

How about a beach town with mountains only a few miles away?

Santa Fe, NM fits all your criteria except jobs and affordability. Not that there aren't jobs, but there are many applicants for every job. And housing is fairly high.

You might check out Charlottesville VA which is not quite in the mountains but very close, and would fulfill your other criteria.
