Same here.

If you are in the 'true' West, the eastern Midwest, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, even Wisconsin, are solidly' back east'. Even Minnesota is back east in culture and topology/ ecology compared to the West.

But that's no different from GA or NJ.

What makes Florida more East than Georgia, the Carolina's and Virginia? Less Southern culture.
Northern Florida is Down South, Southern Florida is Back East.

I didn't say Florida was more east than Georgia. I said just as and South Florida culture is nothing like the Northeast. I can understand anyone saying you going to the Caribbean. But you aren't going to anything that resembles the Northeast in South Florida if you're saying it's back east and it doesn't matter if it's less Southern culture anyway. You're still going Down South when you go to any place in Florida.

Don't you agree that Southern Florida culturally is more like the Mid-Atlantic than Dixie?

Um, no...it isn't. It's more like Caribbean than anything, which is far from both Mid-Atlantic and Southern. I wouldn't say South Florida is anything at all like the Mid-Atlantic. How do you think they are a like?
