Just looking for stories on how people creatively go across the country. Either to move or just to travel. With little or no money. How to get quick jobs to make a little money on the way. I think it would be cool to do this and I have moved a lot with little planning, but I'm just curious on other more creative ways to do things. Thanks in advance!

If you work for a small enough or specialized enough company as a sales representative, you may be assigned to a region that includes a large portion of the country. A specific instance of this that I know of is that there are a lot of lines of specialty yarn that are primarily sold in the northeast but are also sold in various places throughout the rest of the country, but that the other stores that sell them are so spread out that you might get a twenty state region. I know that as various trivia organizations are starting to boom, they are looking for some people who are willing to travel around the country to host their events. I'm sure that there are lots of other ways to do this in other sectors that other people will mention.

It's not as easy these days. Moving cross-country without a job is easy, but you'll definitely need some money saved up. And you have to have a plan. Nobody moves just to move.

I'm not sure what kind of 'plan' you mean. But I'm sure there are plenty that just move. That's what I'm looking for.

Well you mentioned doing some little jobs to make quick money along the way. There's a difference between traveling and moving. Usually when people move domestically, they do it with the intent of staying there.

So perhaps you could elaborate on what exactly you mean?
