If the grammar and writing style of the chief contributors to this debate are anything to go by, I think L.A. has a long way to go before it will be the 'king' of anything up to and including the 7th grade.
And My Long beach to Queens comparison most definitely wasn't intent on population but more as a major city of Los Angeles County like Nyc has Brooklyn /Queens ,Though they're actually apart of one city lol
But iammius, you really embarrassed yourself with those filthy pictures of Queens smh
I'm not embarrassed. You wanted a comparison to Wilshire and there it is. Beautiful glass high rises, brick, and concrete ones too, all in a row, just like Wilshire (except the ones in Queens are much taller, lol) Click the links, count them, and take an English composition course.
Downtown LA is very small and unimportant. It isn't even the real city center.
Midtown Manhattan is the largest business district on earth. No, downtown LA isn't remotely comparable.
NYC has dozens of business districts, many of which are far more vibrant than anywhere in LA. Someplace like Flushing or Fordham Rd. or Jamaica are busier than any neighborhood in the U.S. outside of NYC.
Don't forget Downtown Brooklyn too. The Hub/Grand Concourse area in The Bronx seems almost like a CBD as well.
