Blacks have been economically stagnant since the late sixties. We had 5-7 years of freedom then they changed sentencing minimums and introduced crack cocaine and we were right back in slavery.
No, we are not stagnant. The black middle class is growing, the rate of college educated blacks is higher than ever before, and, despite what the media wants you to believe, violent crime in our communities has been declining for years.
We are already on our way to the top, but it won't happen over night.
black americans as a people need to STOP yapping about race and focus more on getting the poorest blacks educated, as a community provide education to ghetto women so they stop popping fatherless children, and just make their goal economic success rather than "blah blah race".
all the possibilities are there.... they just need to use them and stop dwelling on slavery and white people having what they don't have as black people!
Great thread but many are afraid to face the truth.
Now indeed African Americans & Native Americans have indeed suffered the most in this country but in reality this will never happen sir,It'll be a bloody race war before any dramatic shift takes place .
But your idea is a great one,An African American state based on justice, equality & freedom.
Unfortunately since African Americans been in America there has been no true justice, Look at how things were before & how they are now smh.
Sometimes people feel the race issue is beyond repair, too much one sided oppression, how would it be if US Blacks received their own territory?
1) There are 45 million U.S. Blacks.
2) People who could trace their ancestry back to slavery and pass the 1/8 drop test may be admitted. Displaced Native Americans too.
3) People could immigrate there and become citizens via Marriage or tenure.
4) Sign contract disallowing shadism upon entrance. Anti shadism propaganda from day 01.
5) Architecture based upon ancient kemet (modernized to fit 21st century of course).
6) All blacks don't have to come, if they feel they have better opportunities in majority america they can keep contributing to that GDP.
7) Alaska is about the right size to fit everyone.
How do you all think a life like this would be? What would life be like upon this event?
Don't know if I'd be interested in living in Alaska but the scenery looks nice at least. Somewhere along the Equator would be better for my fellow Melanated People such as Brasil even though it's hella big territory for 45 million lol.
