Those are my choices as well -- but I would also consider Colorado and the Dakotas
I agree on both Dakotas...but I would have to say due to Denver....and much of the surrounding communities...Colorado is quickly becoming like the majority of the country.
We should go back to having at least one state where you can own another person and dunk a witch.
But seriously, I love the early values of our country but for those and a couple of others. Unfortunately those values were, in large part, cultivated to enable the freedoms of a tiny population with an entire continent to tame. And with little regard for those people who existed outside the privilege of the early American citizens.

Really? I tend to think our freedoms were specifically to benefit ALL Americans...especially those that were not a member of the upper class or higher social strata. That was partly a reflection of why we broke away from British rule, wasn't it?

Unless you were black, female, gay, a witch, etc. For most of this country's history the only group who were privileged and had rights were white males.

There is a difference between what we think freedoms were versus what they actually were to all of the people living in the US at the time.
I vote that all states have the original values, as in my opinion the only true "original value" at the time of the Revolution was the right to self-determination apart from the British. I would say that all states remain equally successful in maintaining British independence.
It's not a state but you should consider moving to colonial Williamsburg, it seems to have what you are looking for
