i am looking to move out of New Jersey.I currently rent but i realize that i will never be able to afford a house in New Jersey. All of my family lives here but i do eventually want to buy a house thats not in a ghetto.Does anyone have any suggestions for a location to move to thats within driving distance of central New Jersey. Driving distance wouldnt be for work but to visit relatives every few months.A maximum of 7-8 hours would be ok.I can afford to spend around 200k on a house and there needs to be a jewish community and jewish private schools in the city/town.Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Delaware? You'd probably have to head on up into the Philly area for jewish community things though.

Dover, Delaware sounds ideal for you.

It's close to home, so you'd be able to visit family often; housing in DE is extremely cheap; and Dover is one of the safer, more family friendly parts of Delaware. Gorgeous landscaping and architecture too.

Philly will likely have a more vibrant Jewish community, but I'd stick to just going up there for weekend outings. Finding a nice area to live up there will likely be significantly more expensive.
