How often do people use Jew instead of did you. I seems like everybody in New England does.

I thought it was "chew" for did you? Maybe I'm thinking "What's wrong wichew?"

Mostly heard in the Hudson River Valley, and Suffolk County, NY

The appropriate response is, "No, Jew?" I have heard that, but not in quite a while.

It's "chew" not Jew.

Or "wichew".

I'm originally from Michigan and people say that there. It's not just New England. I've heard it down south too. So I think everybody from everywhere say it.

Here in Oregon, you will hear "did ya" with the "did" clearly pronounced and the two words clearly separated.

It's not "chew" in NEPA. It sounds like "d'Jew" more often than "Jew."
