Seems like there is a lot of debate on this topic. What states are considered northeastern? Virginia? Ohio? West Virginia? Are these ever included?

Because this hasn't been overdone a million times.

To humor you anyway - take a look at the map in this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northeastern_United_States

The two darkest shades of red are the uncontested (and Census-designated) Northeast: Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania. Anything else - commonly Delaware, Maryland, (DC), Virginia - are heavily argued. Some other states - North Carolina (??), Minnesota (???), Ohio (?) are argued to be Northeastern only by the crazies. And there are enough crazies on this forum to make a large enough presence to see a state like Ohio be argued as Northeastern.

How about those that are in the north east? Don't we all really know them?

I love how New Jersey is one vote behind Pennsylvania and one vote ahead of Maryland.

What did I tell you (guys) about the crazies? You think I'm kidding when I say people here are nuts? It's not real life (obviously), but seriously - it's what I call "City-data Land." Anything is possible! California, Northeastern? Sure!! New Jersey, not Northeastern? Ok!

I didn't know it's been done before, relax. It looks very obvious what states are northeastern now though. I don't see many votes for Virginia.

Like I said… some things are very obvious and should not even be questioned. I'm just telling it like I see it… call it defensive, whatever helps you sleep at night.

Trolls are everywhere, even altering these votes. They're playing around with it because it's been done so many times.
