Here on the Chesapeake, winter hasn't really come yet (just a cooks front this weekend that brought below average temperatures). We have had lots of highs in the mid 60s (~15 degrees above average) and the trend is supposed to continue till 2016. I'm actually enjoying this weather.
The first snowfall is generally in October or November. It hasn't snowed once yet this year. In fact, it's going to be about 60 degrees later this week. I really shouldn't be complaining, but this is scary.
Central Oregon's winter has definitely come. We've had pretty dry winters for the last couple years, so it seems this year our normal winter is here (much to the surprise of people that have moved here in the last few years).
Snow and rain have been almost a daily occurrence since the week before Thanksgiving, so I really enjoyed my trip to Southern California last week. I hate the snow and cold and looking forward to moving south when I graduate college in June
For the first time in a long time (like the first time this millennium), the Albuquerque area is predicting a chance for a white Xmas. That would be something.

Big tornado outbreak is possible tomorrow in the lower Mississippi and lower Ohio valleys. Could be comparable to the Super Tuesday Outbreak of Feb 2008
i don't know what they are predicting for the rest of winter but so far, here in swva it has been mostly warm...tomorrow and christmas will be in the 70's...so weird, i feel like i'm back in san diego again! i'm sure we will pay for it though
