Dallas and Houston are also decent.
I guess, Speaking of which. I think San Antonio has some pretty good night life,

That really suprises me. Great town, but not what I would consider a party city. Compared to party giants like NYC, LA, Miami, and Houston(personal experience), I just don't think Madison would be so highly ranked. This is the second time it has been listed so I might be wrong.
Madison's metro is only around a half mil BUT I feel per capita they party and party hard. UW-Madison is always ranked at or near the top for party schools. I have personally been there and have several friends who go to school there and to me it is a big party town. But, that is one person's opinion.

I have always heard that Wisconsin"ites" (sp?) enjoy their alcohol, so you may be right.

Very underrated indeed. Many starts are taking notice on it and are always scheduling parties down there as much as they can.

I am a former Wisconsinite turned Floridian and I found out that your stereotype (which is true) is believed by people even down here. I took my best friend from Florida to Eau Claire, WI (pop. 62,000) and he couldn't believe the partying we did. When the bars closed a group of college kids who we didn't know took us back to their place for an after bar until the sun came up. And this was on our first night. This is life up there. I nominate the whole state.
