Share your personal favorite city or cities to fly in. The city or cities with the most appeal going for it when entering via air. I suppose like all City-versus-City threads, this is in need of some criteria, so factor things like scenery, terrain, location, and anything else that amplifies a fly-in or whatever.
I nominate Seattle. I flew into Seattle yesterday morning from London, obviously came into Seattle via plane through the east. This was my view after we started hovering over the Seattle area (just slightly east of it).
It frustrates me that this cannot upload face forward pictures properly and I hate that, so I'll just link the one with Mount Rainier.
Seattle and San Francisco by day (fog permitting). Los Angeles by night.
Flying South (like towards LA) out of Seattle puts Mt Rainier so close outside your window on the left side of the plane, you feel like you could reach out and touch it.
Location: northern Vermont - previously NM, WA, & MA

Boston is impressive, especially when the pilot loops around the harbor over the North and South shore with all the peninsulas and islands, and then landing on the runway, and you look out the window...."Oh HEY Boston!" With the skyline only three miles away on the horizon across the water, the city is right there!
+1, on San Diego for beauty. Another lovely view is flying into St Thomas. I love the blue water. It seems like your making a water landing and then the strip pops up at the last minute.
Also, I love flying into NYC and LAS. They arent too appraling but anticipation is always high before entering and exploring those cities. The view from the windows of LGA are nice!
