I thought this would be a fun way for us to get to know a little bit of the demographics of where we live. Often times, it seems there are too many assumptions of what a place should be like. This would be a good way to learn otherwise.

You can also post previous zip codes of where you have lived before too.

My current zip code: 77035 - Houston, TX

Hispanic: 40%
Black: 31.1%
White: 22.9%
Asian: 5%

My previous zip codes: 75024 - Plano, TX

White: 49.8%
Asian: 27%
Hispanic: 7%
Black: 6.4%

75254 - Dallas, TX

White: 37.5%
Hispanic: 36.8%
Black: 20.1%
Asian: 6.5%

60657 - Chicago, IL

White: 79.7%
Hispanic: 6.7%
Asian: 5.7%
Black: 2.6%

90024 - Los Angeles, CA

White: 53.3%
Asian: 24.5%
Hispanic: 8.5%
Black: 1.9%

90504 - Torrance, CA

Asian: 38.4%
White: 31.4%
Hispanic: 22.3%
Black: 2.9%

19133 (Fairhill/Glenwood , North Philadelphia) lived here my whole life
In 2010 it was
60% Hispanic
37% Black
2% White
1% other

Mostly populated by Puerto Ricans and Black Americans , with smaller numbers of Dominicans. The western one- third is predominately black American , with many being black muslim, most of the remaining being hispanic. The eastern two-thirds is mostly Puerto Rican, having one of the highest urban concentrations of Puerto Ricans on the mainland US, most of the remaining being black or Dominican. Though, i think the zip code will continue to get more Hispanic with increasing numbers of Ricans and Dominicans to the area and the city overall, and less black as many blacks in the north and west sections of Philly are largely relocating to the northeast or southwest sections or even to the suburbs.

Kind of shocked how many people here actually live in diverse zip codes.
