If you're not connected to state government, there is no reason to visit many state capitols. I've been numerous times to Chicago and San Francisco, for instance. But who needs Springfield or Sacramento? Nice places I'm sure, but hardly enough to attract a lot of visitors.

And IMO, Harrisburg, Trenton, Albany, and Little Rock, are the pits. Hartford comes close. The rest are OK.

I agree. It gets a bad rap among Coastal Californians but it really is a hidden gem.
