I have worked in call-centers for 5 years and love talking to people on the phone and working in an environment where there are hundreds of people to work with.
I live in Phoenix and would love to move to a metropolitan area that has a wide variety of call-centers to apply at.
I was curious what cities and states tend to have alot of call-centers?
If you work at call centers, why not just get a government job for the DMV or Courthouse? Better pay, more holidays, set schedule, better benefits, etc.
Sacramento, CA has tons of government jobs, where one spends much time on the phone and on the computer.
There was recently a story about the Yelp call center in SF firing a worker for twittering about how badly they're paid and she can't afford her SF Apartment. Of course, she had an expensive apartment with no roommates on a low salary, which was her own silly decision - but you should be able to find call centers all over the SF Bay Area, too. But, the cost of living is high.
There is a call center in Monterey, CA, for an educational supplies company. An acquaintance worked there. Can't remember the name of the company. It's beautiful there and less expensive.
Maybe you could go about this differently - think about where you'd like to live, then see if they have work there you'd enjoy.
