I always though this sign was interesting, in Western Massachusetts on I-90 along the Mass Pike at the summit of a very steep hill/small mountain area at 1724 feet there is a sign that indicates its the highest point along I-90 until Oacoma, South Dakota, 1580 miles away.

In Barstow, CA at the western starting point of I-40 (just past junction with I-15) the sign says Wilmington, NC 2554 miles.

Yep! That's pretty far lol. I'm trying to recall where that is on the I-10...

In Tucson on the I-10 the next city is El Paso, about 4 or 5 hour drive. From Phoenix the next city is Los Angeles which is even farther.

I-40 from Flagstaff goes to Albuquerque and Los Angeles respectively.

I think the furthest one I've seen instead of just showing mile distance but the next city would be from Las Vegas and into Salt Lake City on the I-15. Quite the distance if you ask me.

Rt 50 leaving Ocean City, MD; Sacramento, CA 3073. To be quite honest, I don't even know if it is still there as I drive that road almost every day and don't really pay attention. I think Sacramento had/has one as well on their end of 50.

When you get to Baltimore, the control city is New York City. Not even Philadelphia.

Yes, I remember seeing a sign in Sacramento 20 or more years ago on the western end of US highway 50 that was posted with the miles to Ocean City, MD. I looked on Google map street view, but could not find it.

The cool thing about these signs is that all that mileage is in ONE STATE.

Isn't there a sign like that on I-90 in NE Ohio or just inside New York State?
