The most European cities in the U.S are the ones that have the largest number/percentage of people who racially resemble Europeans.

maybe if we were asking which neighborhood/district/quater was the most european, the french quarter would win but as a whole, no is very american imo

I post the Quarter because that is what everyone will recognize but the entire city is very European (other than the Central Business District).

In fact the French Quarter's architecture is mostly Spanish. The Great New Orleans Fire of 1788 destroyed most of the French buildings because of their wide use of wood. The Spanish were the ones that introduced the wrought iron that you see today.

what's American about N.O. besides the people in it? It's not exactly European but definitely not American, not even the immediate suburbs look like anything else in this country except maybe Charleston or Galveston. I'd say its more Colonial Caribbean. Visit an island that was once a British, French or Spanish colony and you'll see the architectural and infrastructure similarities instantly
