The Grim Reaper shows up one morning during corn flakes and after so much incessant whining he finally agrees to let you off... on one condition. You have to spend the rest of your life within the boundaries of one of the 50 US states (or DC). You can choose which state, any state, but if you ever cross the state line to leave that state he will come to get you, this time for real.

So... which state do you choose? and why?

Missouri. It's where my favorite sports teams and most of my family are.

I would love to reply with my state, but the whole "Grim Reaper Story Theme" is just to tacky for me.

I think this discriminates against the smaller states, particularly the northeastern states. Unfair!

California's big enough to entertain me for a while. I guess California.

I have no problems staying in the state I live in now until I die. I live in Florida, but it wouldn't matter what state I was in. I don't even believe in leaving the county, much less the state.

Texas, because like California, it is very diverse and you can find pretty much anything you want there culturally, politically, and geographically.

I'd just stay in Oregon where I am now. There's an ocean, lots of water, mountains and forest. I can find plenty of places to go within the state.
