What area do you think gives you the most for the amount you pay and what area do you think has the fairest housing market? As in when factoring median housing prices (homes), condominium average sales prices, the average apartment rent (at all levels; bedrooms 0-4), property taxes and other taxes, and the amenities that you get relative to what you pay.

In your opinion, what is the fairest priced housing market in the United States? (Buyers and Renters). Oh and just curious, which one is the least fair housing market in the United States?

The Midwest is the fairest housing market by far in my opinion.

Omaha, Des Moines, Minneapolis, Sioux Falls, Wichita, Lincoln all have a good balance.

Except for Minneapolis, most of those metro area's have housing prices about 2/3 of the national average. The property taxes tend to be higher then average but they still come out far ahead.

Most of those plains metropolitan areas have decent amenities. They have stable economies, good healthcare and education, decently run government and friendly people.

Rents in those cities also tend to be reasonable also.
