Please help me find a city to temporarily move until I decide where I want to live long term. who knows maybe the temporary place becomes long term???

*******Priorities***********

*It has to relatively close to downtown/whole foods/ or at least close to public transportation
since I am not buying a car until I decide where I want to move for good (I work remotely location is not an issue)
*Friendly people
*Safe
*Planning to stay anywhere from 6 months up to a year
*Since I don't do casual dating/hook-ups I'm thinking that I wouldn't be happy in cities like NYC or Atlanta where I heard dating scene sucks for women like me when it comes to dating.

Maybe this temporary place I am talking about becomes more like a permanent home for me

Thanks!

Pasadena or Venice or Santa Monica, CA

All fairly walkable for LA, fun cities for hanging out or meeting people at coffee shops
Plenty of natural food stores and restaurants
Prevailing weather and politics are well-known, of course

Since you're in the enviable position of working from anywhere and wanting friendly people in general, a safe city, good transit accessibility, close proximity to natural foods markets and not wanting the usual dreaded dating scene I would highly recommend Boulder CO....and think it could ultimately become permanent for you.
